The Art of Chair-ity Benefit Auction
The Red Tree Gallery, 5850 Traffic Way, Atascadero
Saturday, October 24th at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets $45 or 2/$80
Over 25 artists have donated their creative talents resulting in one-of-a-kind art chairs that creatively illustrate or portray a story of the artists’ choosing. A fairy tale or fable, fact or fiction, adult, teen or child’s story may be illustrated among the chairs. The chairs will be auctioned off in a live auction. Various other wonderful items will be available for attendees to bid on in a silent auction. Guitarist Adam Levine will be on hand to provide music for everyone’s enjoyment. Appetizers, desserts and Wild Horse wines will round out the evening.
Tickets may be purchased at ARTS Obispo, the Atascadero Library, and The Red Tree Gallery.
Atascadero Art Gallery Tour:
Atascadero will have four Art Tours in 2009. The dates are Friday, Feb. 13; Friday, May 15; Friday, Aug. 28; and Friday, Dec. 4, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Participating local businesses invite the public to attend receptions for artists on these dates. Buy Local Art
The arts play an important role in the life of a community. They can inspire us, challenge us, and help connect us to our natural environment. Atascadero is enriched by having many artists who live and work in our community.

Vision Atascadero's Buy Local Art page is an effort to let Atascadero residents know more about the artists in our midst. Many of the artists listed here display their work at galleries throughout the county. Their individual Web sites provide more information about the type of art they create and where you can see it.

All artists who live and work in Atascadero are invited to participate in Buy Local Art. Artists who are members of the Atascadero Art Association and who live in nearby communities are also welcome. Vision Atascadero respects the efforts of our community art association to encourage local artists.
